Waters stated that the world needs a free, democratic Palestine from the river to the sea

British rock band Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters has called for international isolation of Israel following the killing of the leader of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, Yahya Sinwar.

“Israel is a violent, crazy, genocidal cult, enough is enough! So, no more football, no Eurovision, nothing more. It’s over. Israel disqualified. Red card. Leave the pitch,” he wrote on the X platform.

Waters stated that the world needs a free, democratic Palestine from the river to the sea.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that they had killed Sinwar in the southern Gaza Strip, after a year-long search.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said the killing of Sinwar creates an opportunity for the immediate release of the hostages and could lead to a new reality in Gaza – without Hamas and Iranian control.
