New single, “Get Out My Face AKA Bad Kitty,” the second track from their upcoming album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, set to drop May 30. The track is available to stream and share now.

A blistering blend of sharp guitars, gritty basslines, and Shirley Manson’s defiant vocals, “Get Out My Face AKA Bad Kitty” confronts patriarchal systems with bold energy and biting lyricism. The song’s quirky subtitle—Bad Kitty—comes from the instrumental demo originally sent to Manson during early sessions.

“When I was young, I didn’t really notice how things worked,” Manson explains. “But as I’ve grown older, I’ve seen how the game is rigged—especially against women, minorities, LGBTQ+ people, and marginalized communities. The rollback of women’s rights in the U.S. is nothing short of terrifying.”

This new track follows the critically acclaimed tone set by Garbage’s previous album, No Gods No Masters (2021), which The New York Times praised as a “thrumming mix of goth and orchestral pop.” Manson says the upcoming record channels resilience and clarity amid global chaos, adding, “We needed to find a thread of light, however faint, to pull us through.”

The album, Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, marks Garbage’s return with all four original members—Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig—still intact after 30 years together. With over 20 million albums sold, the band’s signature blend of alt-rock and electronic grit continues to evolve while staying unapologetically outspoken.

To support the new release, Garbage will hit the road this fall for their first major North American headline tour in nearly a decade. The “Happy Endings” tour includes stops at iconic venues like Brooklyn Paramount, D.C.’s The Anthem, and San Francisco’s The Warfield. Tickets are on sale now.

Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is out May 30. Stream “Get Out My Face AKA Bad Kitty” now and brace yourself for one of the year’s most fiercely relevant records.
